Things to ponder ...
- Aviate, navigate, then communicate. "Fly the airplane!"
- On final ... Maintain proper airspeed and centerline.
- On landing ... Nose up and nose straight. "Kick it
straight!" - In an emergency know your ABC's ... Airspeed, Best spot
to land, and Checklist/Cockpit. - You don't step up to the situation, you fall back on your
training. - In the pattern don't descend until you are ready to.
- Keep power in when you extend your pattern.
- Brake in a straight line, not in a turn.
- Stay ahead of the airplane ... Think about what's next.
- After landing fly the airplane until it's stopped.
