Things to ponder ...

  • Aviate, navigate, then communicate. "Fly the airplane!"
  • On final ... Maintain proper airspeed and centerline.
  • On landing ... Nose up and nose straight. "Kick it straight!"
  • In an emergency know your ABC's ... Airspeed, Best spot
    to land, and Checklist.
  • You don't step up to the situation, you fall back on your
    training.
  • In the pattern don't descend until you are ready to.
  • Keep power in when you extend your pattern.
  • Brake in a straight line, not in a turn.
  • Stay ahead of the airplane ... Think about what's next.
  • After landing fly the airplane until it's stopped.
