Instrument Pilot
General Information about getting your Instrument Rating

Instrument Rating Aeronautical Experience Requirements

Thinking of training for an instrument rating?

An instrument rating will expand your knowledge and make you a safer
pilot. Open the door to the ATC system that the airlines use everyday.

How much will it cost?

Cost can vary quite a bit depending on where you do your training. You
are required to have a total of 40 hours simulated or actual instrument
time, of which a minimum of 15 hours must be logged with a CFII.

One requirement that tends to slow down private pilot applicants is the
50 hours cross country pilot in command time. It is generally good to
build a substantial part of these hours prior to starting your instrument
training.

After getting some guidance about what to practice from your CFII, the
more training you do with a safety pilot, the less expensive getting
your instrument rating will typically be.

Your CFI has Cessna 150 and Cessna 172 aircraft available for
IFR training. Current pricing for aircraft only is between $75.00
to $104.00 hr wet . Call for additional details.
